Try Googling "Hard Money Lender" and your state and see what comes up. I would lend money at good short term returns if there is appropriate equity in a deal. Particularly with the stock market declines, if you can offer someone a good stable return and good security/collateral, they can loan money from a self-directed IRA if it is with the right IRA custodian...
