Real Estate Investing Software – Two Freebies!
By Tom Dunn | September 9, 2008
There are two main pieces of real estate investing software I would like to recommend to you. They are both free… I like free and so should you. They are also both very simple to use. There are a lot of other programs available that claim to handle different calculations, but they are either irrelevant or too complicated.
There are also a lot of “specialty” real estate investing software programs around, most of which come attached or included with some book or course. Many of these probably have some value, but they are very specific to the type of investing taught in the course or book they come with, so I won’t cover them here.
These pieces of real estate investing software are very generic, applicable to a lot of different kinds of investing, so more of you will find them useful.
The first is The Free Real Data Real Estate Calculator from RealData. This package handles a number of different basic calculations every real estate investor should know, and you can download it from http://realdata.com/download.shtml.
The second is my own simple offer worksheet, which I use to calculate offers on residential properties that I plan to flip or hold for rental. You can get this worksheet for free at http://dealfiles.com/marketplace.html
Once you have these simple pieces of real estate investing software, go out and make some offers!
