A couple of years back I needed to replace my windows and being the tech savvy person that I am, I decided to surf the internet to look for a replacement window company. I used a search engine to find one online using one of those “find it all sites”.

I emailed them and asked for a quotation. I had no idea then that it was necessary to have them come over for an in-home consultation. It took them roughly four days to reply and requested that I provide some details about my home. I should have seen the signs right there but being naïve I sent the details.

A few days later they sent me a quotation that was enough to make me thrilled. I was happy that this internet thing really works. I just had a few problems with the quote, nothing terrible just routine questions. I checked for their number on the quote and gave them a call.

This is where the actual trouble started. They kept transferring me to one person after another until I got fed up. When I eventually talked to someone they informed me the quote was a standard one – they would have to come my place for a final one.

They didn’t arrive on the agreed date and when I called them up they were not apologetic at all. They made excuses about how busy they were and what time of the year it was and so on.

This was when it dawned on me that I was wasting my time with these guys and I cancelled the deal.
